Civil Engineering Design Technician (Draftsman)

Dennis Engineering Company a civil engineering and surveying firm has an opening for an individual to join our CAD team. Duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining CADD standards, reconciling field data into CAD software and coordinating production of project plans and technical documents and assisting in preparation of calculations for civil engineering projects. Candidate may be entry level, however experienced users in the configuration of CADD software (AutoCAD and/or Civil3D) are preferred. Candidates must have excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Civil Engineering Design Technician

Must be able to handle multiple design projects and provide attention to detail. Must have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS office (Word/Excel/Outlook), and able to find productive ways to accomplish goals while meeting project deadlines in this fast-paced environment. Must have strong mathematic and writing skills. An understanding of hydrology, transportation, utilities and/or surveying is desired.

Civil Engineering Construction Observer

A minimum of 3-years of construction inspection experience on transportation or utility projects is desired. Duties include inspection of construction projects for soils, concrete, bituminous pavement, water lines and other utilities; compiling of daily reports and calculation of pay quantities. Must be willing to travel and work throughout New Mexico. Experience with MS Word/ Excel and Outlook is desired. Travel and living arrangements required throughout New Mexico as required for this position.

Applicants must have or be able to obtain a valid NM driver’s license and provide proof of valid automobile insurance. A background check will be run on all final candidates. Competitive wages with excellent company paid benefits and Simple IRA plan.
